All roads lead to Rome, especially because that is where the World Championships will be held in 2009. However, if you talk about swimming, sooner or later all topics will lead to Michael Phelps. What he eats, what he doesn?t eat, what he likes, why he likes it, for how long he likes it? How much he trains on weekdays, and on holidays (even Christmas) and the oft-mentioned New Year?s Eve (because allegedly he was supposed to work hard even on that special day). It is no exaggeration to say that nowadays one of the most popular - if not the most popular and most influential athlete - is a swimmer. We think his authority and greatness currently exceeds that of Lewis Hamilton, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tiger Woods or any other superstar.
