In my opinion, the Olympic winners will be Hungary, Croatia, Serbia (in this order) unless the Spanish will be in a devastating form and will make their way to the podium like it happened at the Melbourne WChs and at the European Chs in 2006 in Belgrade.

I don't think so, and I'm impatiently looking forward to see their much awaited Olympic performance.

I think that the fact that the 10 km event was included in the Olympic program is a wonderful chance for making Open Water more popular worldwide and its importance outshines the fact that the competition is not held in natural water.
